FX Impact 25

I had the opportunity to shoot a 25cal Impact about 250 times today. I was pleasantly surprised to see how close to the velocities my Impact was to Michael's velocities posted earlier. Two hundred and fifty times is no where near enough shooting to figure what is happening with this airgun. I only adjusted the power wheel and valve knob. I did not touch the regulator screw. This Impact's regulator was set at 150bar from AOA. I may have them lower it to 140bar. I shot the 25.4 JSB's to 965fps. but the accuracy was not as good as around 900fps. The wind was blowing left to right and right to left pretty good and the higher velocities seemed to get blown around more for some reason. I'll shoot more this coming week. I don't know what else I can add to what Michael and the guy's that have had their guns for a while have said. It will be interesting to read what people find out about their Impacts with all the possible settings this gun offers. I just hope everyone will read the manual and go slow so the regulators are not ruined. I am really glad FX included a manual for this gun. Have fun, Scott

This Impact belongs to a good friend of mine. AOA received a shipment of silver Impacts that some people passed on. My friend's name came up on the list and he asked if I would pick it up for him and test it out for him. Me, being the nice guy I am, said I would if I could find the time. AOA is across town so it took forty minutes of driving as fast as I could to get to there. So, yes it is silver and looks great with black rings and black scope. I got 72 shots from a 250bar fill. Could have got more but I stopped at exactly 150bar that the regulator was set at. The case will hold two barrels. I think if I get one I will get a full size case for the gun so it doesn't have to be taken apart to put it in the case. It's not hard to break the gun down at all but does take time and maybe a little wear and tear if you are not carefull. The mag loads just like the small ones and inserts easily into the gun. The sliding moderator works to make shots pretty quiet and hits the same point of impact in or out. With the power knob and valve control knob there are so many choices on setting the Impact up. One of the settings I used had a large change in velocity from shot to shot. Just a little tweaking on the valve control knob fixed it. So good luck to all you guys who get theirs soon and have fun. Scott

"SDellinger"This Impact's regulator was set at 150bar from AOA. I may have them lower it to 140bar.
The manometer (regulator pressure gauge) on my Impact also reads 150 bar. But AoA uses a separate very fancy gauge to set the regulators at 140 bar. The tiny manometers are no where near as accurate as the one they use. I believe they are setting all the Impacts at 140 bar.
