I bought a .22 700mm slug liner, what ammo do you guys recommend. I’m new on slugs and would like some advices to star. My gun has power plenum and slug power kit already installed..

The .22 superior liner is one of the most versatile liner FX makes. It will shoot any pellet and just about any slugs! I know it shoots 20, 23 and 26 grain NSA with laser accuracy even at 800fps. Have not tried 32 grain because I don’t need the power. Also try crosman 14.3 grain pellets, you might be surprised. Obviously JSD anything will shoot one hole at 50 yards.

Seems to me most fx barrels like .218s not to say the 217s wont shoot, they very well may. I only use griffin slugs. I have better accuracy, and more of my guns/barrels tend to like them.

I'm using the Superior Heavy that is heavily wrapped in multiple CF tubing. It is deadly after the choke removal. I shoot my own cast 34 gr HP's in it mostly. never tried pellets. LOL
It is installed in my Raptor and have pushed it to well over 84 fpe in test. It started as a mine Raptor, so does not have the larger plenum of the full sized gun. Changing that very soon.

I’m getting great results with NSA 20.4-24.8, JSB KO, and H&N 25-30 grains all in .217. Pushing them to 980 fps.

I tried the H&n 25 gr .17 and the knock outs 25.45gr .17 the best it’s the H&n around 950 FPS under 1/2” the knock outs .6” after adding some lube.. i already ordered some Nielsen 23gr and 24.8 gr in .17, I’ll try them maybe I can get the same results as the H&n.. H&n are expensive lol

Nice shooting!!! Supposedly slug liner does well with 25 and higher slugs in .217 and also try .218. Ive seem many people posted good results with NSA .217 slugs, get a sample pack.

I have a .22 Impact MkII PP 700 mm. I have used pellet liner, Slug A, and Superior (not heavy). None have done well with slugs smaller than .218 whatever the source. I have settled on .218 23 gr. H&N slugs which in the Superior are consistently giving me 0.4" or better 5 shots at 70 yd, with occasional groups as small as 0.2". At 100 yd with no wind I'm getting 0.7-0.9 MOA. Shooting them at about 905 fps. They are very wind-sensitive though; yesterday there was a very light but steady 10:00 wind and four shots went into 0.15" then on the fifth shot the wind dropped and the group opened to 0.42".
The original pellet liner did almost as well. Slug A never approached the performance of the others but was not bad. It may well be that they would do better at higher velocity; I only tried them from 880-915 fps.

I’ll try them from 900 to 1000 FPS each barrel is different maybe mine likes them if not I’ll order H&n 25gr they shoot great around 950fps

I have come to accept that each and every liner made by FX will like it’s own pellet and/or slug. The new superior liners have really improved the accuracy for slugs, but less so for pellets.
My one Impact shoots H&N 27gr .217 out of 700m heavy liner at 983fps like a lazer. My best result at 50m (55yards) is five slugs with hole size of 7mm edge to edge (1.5mm variance) Reg at 135 bars
My compact impact with a 600m superior standard liner shoots H&N 21gr .218 at 960fps as good as the one above. Reg at 110bars.
Sorry to say that I have not been able to repeat this accuracy with either NSA or Javelin slugs and think these are more for the pop while hunting than consistent accuracy.
The upside is you will most likely get to shoot a lot of different slugs before you find your unicorn.

I have tried the 25gr H&n and the knock outs this morning I tried the nsa 27.5 and 24.8 both.217. The H&n 25gr did great at 950 the 27.5 also this great and the 24.8 also are shooting good. I’m keeping the 27.5 at 930 FPS with the same setting I can also shoot the 24.8gr at 960 FPS both are shooting .5” or less at 55 yards
here are 3 groups of 5 shots each

What liner? Is it the superior liner 1:24?, and what about accuracy because till now i didn't find the perfect velocity!
