FX Hybrid Slugs

Been looking and can’t seem to find it. Do the hybrid slugs need/benefit from the Slug Power Kit? Or are they fine to shoot out of a factory M3 as is? Do you need a different probe or is the factory probe fine?

Maverick sniper shot them like pellets in a superior standard sniper liner.

No mods necessary. I shot them in my M3 in a 100 yd match yesterday. Pushing about 950 fps easily.

FX made them pretty light on purpose so they will work well in "lower" power setups. You dont need the slug power kit, but that will increase your velocity if you decide you want more speed. But even slow, a slug is going to do a lot better than a pellet.

Thanks for the replies. Will try them as is for now. Looking at the FX website, looks like the have some heavier ones coming out. Looking to have the ability to switch back and fourth as needed. Will eventually pick up another gun that will be dedicated to slugs.

I have an M3 that shoots the hybrid slugs at 1000fps with no mods. The only thing I did was put a NSA slug probe in the gun, when I did that I actually gained about 12fps on average. I did not change a single setting and it was just the probe.

Current settings for m3 .30 cal
2nd reg 128-129
Macro 14
Micro 4.8
Valve set on what would be line 5 if there was one.

Yeah no problem. I don’t know what liner you have coming but for me I tried the slug liner and had struggles and couldn’t find anything to work. So I switched back to the stock liner “Superior” and thats where I found the hybrids to work great. Originally when I found the hybrids to work my macro was on 16. But after I put about 1,800 rounds through the gun I was able to back the macro down to 14. I think that just means the gun is prolly broke in and everything is settled where it needs to be. I don’t know if yours is brand new but keep checking speeds on your rounds as you shoot it more. Wouldn’t be surprised if you had to turn yours down a bit as well if it’s brand new

30 cal is new. My 25 cal has been shot a fair bit. I’m gonna use the stock liner and haven’t gotten a slug liner. Don’t believe I should need one until moving up to heavier slugs.
