Yeah. If they're ever released..I'd love to try them. Until then, the .30 FX Hybrid starting ~890fps makes a pretty respectable "pop".

Being a year after with no update from the manufacturer really makes you feel good about it lol. I'd try some once just to see if they would do ok but highly doubt anything is coming of it.

Lmao….ok now that we are back to reality from planet revolutionary my pellets aren’t going anywhere. As one might guess I get annoyed by over hyped marketing BS.

Yes indeed, there are many slugs on the market. However none of them claim to be able to be shot utilizing a conventional pellet tune. With the deep and wide hollow point and more of the projectile weight to the outside walls , as claimed on the halos, spin stabilization will be minimized as with the fps, compared to what’s required by slugs currently available.

Totally agree. Given the design I suspect it’s quite difficult to produce in mass quantities.

You'll Love the H&N ,from al I've tested(incl HALO) they always perform best.Even a tad better then the ZAN....I just ordered and received more boxes of Zan, as i simply can not wait for FX or Javelin to work their magic.
Actually 3 boxes more and my slug suitcase are full, and thats minus various H&N and KO slugs i also have sitting in a cupboard in the kitchen.
Really Sweden have declined ever since it stopped being a part of Denmark,,,,, thats what succession / rebel get you, just a fair warning to any rebel states out there.

I'd agree with you on the HN, I've found that the newer design HN heavy slugs perform great out of my heavy liners.
Still wish I could try some of the chipmunk bustin' halos pellugs. Reminds me of a slug equivalent of the polymags to pellets

Sadly not.
I have tried 3 weights of the H&N slugs in my Maverick, both with the standard barrel and the heavy liner, and they just not will work at all for me.
The same is pretty much the case in my AGT vulcan 3
I saw one of the South African boys shoot his impact i think it was, when the H&N .177 slugs came out, and shooting them very well indeed, with a substantial reg pressure.
But i have tried that too, and also added a heavier hammer CUZ the factory .177 maverick hammer weight, well it is not really cracking a valve with 150 BAR behind it.
But it just will not work for me, and its not like its a little bad, i would rather say for me its near catastrophically bad, so bad that after 3-4-5 hours trying to get them to fly ( at least 400 of each weight ) well i have just given up on the H&N slugs, CUZ the magic they need, well i dont have it, actually it is probably a banned substance in Denmark, CUZ i have seen several here try them and then moving on.
And it is very sad, CUZ us none licenced Danes, well all we can shoot is .177.

Check your probe's depth and slug seating depth in the breech. I've had several people show me their Mavericks complaining about slugs not shooting right or efficiently, when their cocking rod was slid too far forward or back (usually too far back). That causes transfer port obstruction and improper seating depth.

I have tried with a pellet probe ( Huma ) and also the regular probe, lighter ( and of course then also shorter ) slugs from Zan and JSB work just fine, and i have gotten fairly good groups with 16 and 20 grain Zan too, not least now that i have the heavy liner.
But say having dialed for 16 grain Zan, and i put in a 16 grain H&N, well forst of all the H&N slug land a foot or so away, at least no way near where the Zans landed. And when i then try to sero them in, well they jump all over the place and easy change POI with 4 - 6 inches to so
I also feel seating the H&N slugs in any weight, well due to the make of their material they are harder to "chamber"
I have not messes with the pellet probe, which as i recall are adjustable, the regular probe on the Maverick i do not think are adjustable, if so it would have to be in the linkage then.
BUT ! i will look into that later in the year when actual shooting die down a little,,,,, or i get another primary gun, which is likely CUZ FX or not i have always been fighting my Maverick, even if it also give me immense joy now and then.
Poured 1000 shots thru it yesterday, and i had a good old time even if i was also adjusting on the damn thing.
Only negative thing of the day was i shot 400 regular heavy pellets, but i did not bring my Stud MAG loader, which would have made it even more enjoyable, and i suppose faster to burn thru that tin.

Are these just slugs with a very deep cup to shave down the weight? I’ve read FX Hybrids are pretty good but wonder how these are much different.
