fx gladiator mk2 vs the royale 500

Given both have the same .25 action and smooth twist barrel, your shooting performance will be virtually the same. Both have the regulator option which is very important to me.

So when I had this dilemma of choice I opted for the Gladiator primarily for the extreme shot count (over 100 at 50 fpe). As a varmint hunter, this allowed me to basically hunt all day on one fill (two when the ground squirrels are thick). Some are not enamored with the difference in cheek weld due to the big bottle as the butt stock, but I have not found this to be an issue after a short time of just getting used to it. The Gladiator only comes in a synthetic stock, and some find it's over all appearance to be.........well...........not so pleasing, but I myself love the tactical look. Both guns are long and heavy for carrying around in the woods all day, but I find it easier to configure a two point sling on the Gladiator using the FX clamp mount on the front tube. Slung this way, I can stalk my quarry in the woods all day in total comfort. Lastly, I find the Gladiator to be better balanced with the rear bottle configuration and not nose-heavy like the Royale (and most front-bottle guns).

So these are just my views/preferences, therefore depending on what you're looking for, you may easily opt for the Royale. Both guns are great and you can't really go wrong with either.

cheers,
