I have upgraded my compact with a cf shroud so that I could fit the plenum and cf bottle. Fx should sell the gun so.

Who made that carbon fiber shroud or how did you fit it to keep the 1/2 by 20 threads, I would like to do that to my compact .25 to add a power plenum

I have bought the cf tube (20mm width, 2mm thickness) and I have cut to 350mm long so that standing out the bottle. In the front of the shroud I have fitted this piece to fit a 1/2 silencer

At this moment pellets (JSB Hades .22) but I not discard in the future JSB slugs or others. FX sell a barrel for slugs but not with the sort length of the compact. The minimus size it's 500 mm.
Could be cut the barrel to shortened to this shroud? I don't know if it's choked and in this case if could be cut loosing the choke.

Was bought from https://bagnallandkirkwood.co.uk but I think that could be bought in every Fx seller. You need the front piece to fit the silencer (pic above) and the rear end. Fx ref. 19807 19802. Total price 50usd. If you want need too the cover for the thread of the silencer when it’s not fitted but I don’t know the Fx reference. I’ ll do it with my lathe because it’s a easy piece to do.
I’ m thinking to change the bottle for the new 300cc FX bottle -shorter than I have fitted and double capacity than original tiny aluminum tube- and shorten the shroud to the original size, but I’ m waiting price and availability of this bottle from my seller.
Because the original bottle was 180cc and this one 480cc, plus the plenum, I think that I could gain four/five times shoot count because in addition to the three times capacity with the plenum you can lower the regulator pressure, maybe to 100/110 bar with the same fps.
I have seen a cf 250cc bottle, 50mm diameter and 20cm large for 150 usd without the Fx valve fitted- that I have (60 usd)- and if I can’t find the fx300 cc bottle could be a option to fit (pics below)

Nice job Macipod. I'm in the process of doing a similar job on my DL Classic .25 . My barrel is a 600mm. I ordered a 20mmX18mmX1000mm section in the Matte Plain on ebay for a little over $22 US shipped. The end caps I ordered directly from FX USA @ $56 US shipped. Part #'s and all as seen in photo. My weekend project is to cut the CF to length (585mm) and size the end cap threads on the lathe to the 18mm ID, epoxy in place and assemble. The cf shroud feels very stiff and that makes me happy.
