FX dreamline hammer spring tunning

Hey,

I was wondering if any of the fx Dreamline owners have tuned the hammer spring like the impact owners do. I dont mean turning the dail but tuning it with an allen key to get a bit more power out of the gun.

I have quite some play and shoot at the following settings:

Caliber: .22 (15 Gr, JSB Exact Jumbo)

Regulator 115

Hammer spring: Max

Temp: 10C

Speed: 906 average

This is how the gun came out of the factory but see that some owners get higher velocities.

Thanks,

Floris

i finally found some 1mm washers that i spun in the drill against some sand paper until they dropped in.

i did tune the little screw as well, to take up slack out of the slidy thing, but i don't know if that had any effect on power.

right now i am running 150bar huma reg and getting 890fps with jsb mkii 33.9gr at max power wheel.

how many shots you get at that speed?

So, i have an older (?) dreamline classic. Im getting higher fps on lower wheel settings. 820 at max and 827 or so at next step down. How can i adjust that hammer spring tension so the fps corresponds to the power wheel settings. Seems it(hammer tension) aint right for reg pressure of 125. .25 cal, shooting hn hunter extreme at 26 gr. Sms fubarred some. Any ideas ?

It is in the little slider that goes next to the hammer spring dial. Takes a pretty small allen key.
Thank you, wheni watch tuning vids they have the ass end off and use a 3 or 4 mm to adjust so i am a bit confused. I know where the screw you mention is i think. Takes a ninety degree allen to turnit? Can i get in trouble winding it all the way in (clockwise ) to lower spring pressure? I need to get the hammer spring “on the step” / plateau…so thoght i would start on the low end and work my way up through the chronie…? That make sense ya think. Like your handle probly wont go all the way in, just enuff to drop the chronie low enuff to start coming bak up

Turning clockwise will make the spring the strongest, not lessen the hammer strike.
Thanks Joe, so i turned it in (clockwise) all the way to where the power whell wont turn. Backed it out till wheel would turn.Regs at 130 and i cant seem to get more than 815 fps or so. I see vids that want it at 900 more or less. They only have 130 or so on the reg. Still shootin hn hunter extreme 26 gr. This is an older (bought it used) dreamline tactical. That seems as good as I can get it at this reg setting. Dont really want to reduce shot count (i get three mags thru it). It spanks ground squirrels ok but not as well as i would like for a humane kill.

And this is why I asked the question in post #10.

26 gr is a heavy 22 projectile. The dreamline is no power house really. What length barrel ?

Dreamline isn't the slouch people think.

A dreamtac .25 with a 15cc power plenum can produce 58-60fpe. Add the huma power tune spring and a single power plenum increment, you're up to 64. add a heavier hammer and larger plenum a respectable bit more.
