FX Dreamline Bullpup .22 thoughts so far.....

A couple of members here have contacted me wanting to know my thoughts on this new bullpup.

The Bad so far:

The magazine would not cycle thru the last three or four shots.

I took it apart and found the factory had only put 1/2 turn pre-load on the coil spring. Added one full turn more, works fine now.

The trigger from the factory has a long, long, long 1st stage with plenty of creep in the second.

Adjusted the trigger and it now has a short 1st with zero creep on the second stage.

Shoots pretty darn good on max power with JSB 18.13g.

The Dreamline Bullpup is a fine rifle - Short/handy, smooth operating, good power, easily adjustable, reasonable shot count and very accurate.

The only reason I don't still have mine is that I just don't like cocking levers back by my ear. That's the big reason I have never even entertained getting a gun like the Taipan Veteran, even with all of the excellent reviews of it.

Other than that, the DreamPup is a great gun and is actually a pretty good 'bargain' within the FX line.

Those are some good looking groups. I like what you did with the mag. I’m not sure I understand what you mean by “creep” in the second stage. Can you describe how it felt before you made the adjustment?

After the first stage "wall" and at the beginning of the second stage, there was still some trigger travel required before the rifle fired.

I like a light first stage, hit the wall, and just a little more pressure with no travel to make the rifle fire!!

Just got a new chrony and shot these strings. I'll do a more detailed study, but this will give you the idea of the rifle.

Not many shots but that is really tight velocity spread and std deviation.

Yup. I plan on 10 shot strings on all hammer spring and tx port setting. It will take some time and a lot of pellets but at least I'll know the rifle better.
