FX Dreamline Barrel Bands and 480 cc Bottle

Hi folks,

I recently purchased a FX Dreamline Tactical .25 from a member here (shoutout to Avolluz for a purchase I am very happy with). It came with an FX barrel band attached, and it shoots (only indoors so far at 50 feet) like a laser. I am thinking of changing it from a tube to the FX 480cc CF bottle, but this means the barrel would be unsupported. My questions are:

(1) does the Dreamline really need a barrel band for the 600mm barrel, and,

(2) is there a barrel band available that would work with the Dreamline barrel and the CF bottle?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

I have a dreamline with the 500mm barrel and before adding a band the barrel would hit the air tube if I placed the rifle down too quickly. I added it for peace of mind since I planned on using it for occasional field work. I would assume the problem would only be worse with a 600mm so I would personally add one. My accuracy wasn’t affected at all with the band, and I haven’t had any poi shifts since adding it so I don’t really see any reason not to add it, unless you don’t like the aesthetics. If you want one you would have to get one 3D printed, I have seen some floating around the forum but I’m not sure exactly who makes them. Hopefully one of the makers chimes in on the post.
edit- I actually did a quick search and I found some for sale on Ohio airguns. They have a few options listed. Hope this helps.
