FX Dream-Tact, Dreamline Accuracy / POI Issues No More...

Hi Guys,

1st off I know there are several threads and various posts all over the interweb about this issue, so no sense in putting all that verbiage in here, we all know the issue at hand

I have personally experienced it with my own Dream-Tact and it absolutely drove me nuts..

Since I own a machine shop I made my own fix for this issue.

Now I know some will probably say the idea was not mine, someone else did it 1st, blah , blah... No doubt a barrel band has been around since , well forever, and there is a reason they exist.....

So with that said instead of the same old $ 0.55 cents worth of 3D printed plastic offerings I machined mine out of T-6061 Billet . I also lined it with a closed cell foam that will Not beat the hell out of the air cylinder or shroud. This piece has proven to be a solid fix and I have targets to back it up..

Anyway I attached some pics of the prototype on my gun and I am in production on these and will have some ready very soon.

I do need your input on whether or not to leave them in the raw , machined finish ,or go ahead and anodize them Black..

I will be listing these on Fleabay and on my website soon, they will be under a special section on my website under " Airgun Parts " , if you want to see the work I have been doing for the last 18+ years in the Large Scale RC Car World have a look through the site www.inertiaracingproducts.com

Thanks and feel free to ask any questions

Please let me your thoughts

Beautiful machining! With the right specs and a little reprogramming you could potentially make these for a number of different airgun manufacturers. If you could do away with the top cap screw boss it would be more esthetically pleasing to the eye. Maybe machine the part as one piece, a bit thinner and in more of a "V" configuration where the bottom cap screw boss squeezes the two raduised sides together to form the two perfect circles (with the foam cushion in place).

P.S. How about making us some oversized plenum tubes (25mm o.d.) for the Impact's valve housing for us big bore shooter's that use a lot of air.

Thanks for the input so far..

As it stands now, in its current configuration, I am trying to keep this under $ 30.00, don't beat me up if they go a little higher , I still need to get an anodizing quote before locking in the retail price...

Another factor affecting cost would be a design change , if the current look is that much of a major deal then we have to start all over again as far as redesigning and tooling so please keep that in mind....
