In the near future I am going to order a new air gun. Last FX I had was a first generation crown in .30. I loved the way it shot and the accuracy, it was just to heavy to hunt with on a regular basis so I sold it. I am thinking about ordering a dream tac compact in .25. I like the idea of a folding stock and the weight of this gun. I am mainly a squirrel hunter with most of my shots being inside of 50 yards. What are you guys thoughts on this gun for this purpose. Since the barrel is 480mm would the performance be similar to the Crown Continuum with the 380mm barrel? Its been difficult for me to find specs comparing the 2. I think you can switch out the bottles pretty easily and I think I saw in a YouTube video where they were going to come out with a higher capacity carbon fiber bottle (Any news about these yet?). Have there been any quality issues with this gun? My old crown had some regulator creep and I had to send it back for repair. Any input you guys have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the help!
 
barrel is 420mm as i remember. 



and it wont be that powerful. makes lower 8xx fps with kings. and its maximum





but pretty much enoughf for squirrels. i would call even more than enough

Actually, the barrel is 480mm and very accurate. Power level can be adjusted and there is a plenum out now for about 25.00. Very nice and not compact at all that's a lie. Even folded its longer then some bullpups.

Redick, Have you shot the .25? Do you somewhere I can read more info on the gun? Where can you get the new plenum? Is it hard to install? Thanks for the help!

Youtube is your best friend when it comes to seeing different people's results with the Dream Tac Compact. 
I've had one for a few weeks now, and it's pretty friggin' awesome! Better trigger than my new Impact MK ii also IMO
Mine's a .22 cal though, and I'm probably only setting it up / tuning it to shoot lighter grain pellets 
like Crosman Hollow points and JSB Hades

Power-Upgrades: The Dreamline Power Plenum Will Not Work. They are incompatible with this model/version of gun.
There are a few members on here that figured out a work around though.. Two options.. 
1 is to nix the OEM FX shroud [that seems to be what is causing the compatibility issue] and go with a custom shroud.. 
And
2 is to hone out the transfer port to allow for a bit more air flow.
