Is there a sealant I could use on the valve seat I think it’s been damaged and sealed with somthink I think the wall is damaged and won’t hold any pressure air comes straight through barrel I have new seat and valve stem thanks
Not sure about tapping on it. Did you try to fill off a tank or compressor? New valve and seat may require a quick blast of hp air from a tank initially to seat.Still not sealed the valve seat it was stuck solid when I removed the old one the new one is easy to fit in and take out should it be harder to take out if fitted properly should I need to give the seat a light tap in with a punch for it to seal properly or should picking down on it with the valve stem be enough for it to fit snug
I filled if 300bar tankNot sure about tapping on it. Did you try to fill off a tank or compressor? New valve and seat may require a quick blast of hp air from a tank initially to seat.
Hmm…I think I remember reading somewhere about lightly tapping to seat a new one but do not quote me on that. I would wait for further replies or contact an fx dealer over there.I filled if 300bar tank
EXACTLY ... look threw small hole passing side to side threw lower receiver. You SHOULD SEE the poppet stem protruding from the air tank side & see face of hammer from the rear of receiver. My Boss had that issue, but I dont know if the Dream is the same:
If you can see the area where the hammer strikes the poppet you should see about 1/4 inch of post. If not then the valve guide is peened and preventing the poppet from seating.
Dry firing can cause that.
