Is there a sealant I could use on the valve seat I think it’s been damaged and sealed with somthink I think the wall is damaged and won’t hold any pressure air comes straight through barrel I have new seat and valve stem thanks
My Boss had that issue, but I dont know if the Dream is the same:
If you can see the area where the hammer strikes the poppet you should see about 1/4 inch of post. If not then the valve guide is peened and preventing the poppet from seating.
I've heard you can grind it out with valve grinding compound, but I didn't have much luck with it.
This is in the manual: • Never fire the rifle when it is empty of air or when air cylinder is removed!
It's in there with the rest of the warnings that make so much sense that you (I) skip over them. "Don't shoot at other human beings!" "Do not taunt Happy Fun Ball!" But that one counts; you can mess up your Dreamline that way.
I would go ahead and order at least 1 poppet plus a spare, as well as 2 valve seats. UTAH AIR most likely has them in stock Buying multiples not only gives you a spare but also defrays some of the shipping costs
Also, you can find the proper part #'s on the Dreamline Parts list at the FX website
