Fx dream line tac compact 25cal anyone have fps and shot count?? Info.

The shroud on mine was extremely tight. I tried fiddling with it but gave up

I took mine off. I added a tiny bit of heat. It was too much a pia to clean the barrel with the shroud on.

I also put a 220 cc carbon bottle on mine that gave me 7 more regulated shots. Had 29, now have 36. with 3300 psi fill down to 150 reg pressure. My bottle weighs 14 oz with the valve. The fx tube I took off weighted 12 with valve. I figure when FX decides to make a bottle for it ( & they really need to) , it will weigh less than that. My bottle is made in China & I think their carbon fiber bottles weigh more than others. I like it way better than the tube, it gives a nice hand full grip and rest nicely against a tree while standing & gives barrel clearance from the tree.

The Ergo grip is way better than standard, it actually fits my big hand.

The fist models had a smaller shroud and the Carbon bottle would fit. If you have seen Matt dubbers video on this you Can see its a different shroud.

I think Matt version probably is one of the prototype models

be honest I was disappointed as well when find out is not enough clearance to fit bottle

I cannot find it in Google how does it screw onto your gun did you need to get an adapter? Can you please tell me the size or the website you purchased it from if it's not too much bother thank you

Ebay has them , they are made in China and probably not DOT certified. The one I have is called .22L & that comes out to 220 cc. Mine is about 54 mm in diameter. If it was much bigger it would not fit. I only get 7 more shots with a .22. If you are going to put it on a .25 expect less. They also have one that is 0.37 which is about 350 cc. I think it is about 55 mm in dimeter, which probably will still fit. It would give you a lot more shots , but very long & could take away with the beauty of this little jewel. I had an extra FX valve I put on mine. But you can probably take the valve out of the one that came on the original FX tube, but I never tried that. You might just want wait until Fx comes out something. These China bottles are not real light. I have no idea to the quality. Keep that in mind.

What FX needs to do is source a carbon fiber bottle that is a smaller diameter than the standard Crown/Impact but longer like the Uragun. I like the look of the Uragun bottle, makes the gun look slimmer but still has the large capacity. I think a lot of people are turned off of PCP bottle guns because of the large bottles hanging off the front. I think there is a slimmer bottle being sold on eBay from China if you dare. Don’t know if it fits the FX receiver. But yeah, the Dream Tac needs a CF bottle whether with an adapter like Airforce has or a slimmer bottle.

@ Leatherman , Most of the carbon fiber bottles use the M 18 x 1.5 female. FX valve fits it. I agree FX needs to come out with a bottle at least 300 cc & about 55 or less mm diameter. I bet they will, hopefully it is faster than a glacier moving. . I used to hate bottle guns, but like you say 2 inches in diameter is not so ugly as 2.5 & bigger. Actually I like the feel of my compact way more with this little bottle.

I received my .25 dream Tac compact on Tuesday mounted my scope and got to shoot it today. Straight out of the box no cleaning no tuning.

fill pressure 3,300

reg set at 140 + - 

max hammer spring / transfer port 25-30

JSB 25.39 pellets 26 shots at average of 820fps for 40 foot pounds energy. groups where 1/2” at 60yds benched/ fixed 10 power scope.

I guess I’ll keep it 😁

That is good, actually better than I thought. I never knew they was going to use a longer barrel on the .25, that helps.

Hi all 

I went out with my .25 today really hoping that predator polymags would shoot in my compact. I was very happy with the results they fit great in the magazine, same point of impact as the jsb pellets and 5 shots touching at 60yards 1/2-9/16 of a inch. Fx has really turned up the heat on the competition with there barrels and price point......Thanks FX

I can't understand why the barrel has the shroud on this gun, and why the bottle it's not more width, because would be possible even with the shroud. With the same design of aluminium bottle could be possible fit a bigger bottle even more little than a CF bottle. I really can't understand this, because the compact, that it's a great gun, would perfect with a better shoot count. 

Would be possible fit a bottle of +1 or 2 cm of diameter and the same length. In aluminium would be inexpensive, and the look would be remain compact. I think it's a wrong decision from FX fit a shroud and fit a narrow bottle. 

Please FX, could you make a bottle with the same length but more width, in aluminium and/or CF??
