FX did not lie, hybrid slugs .25cal with ordinary stx barrel=hopeless

I bought 5 packs of .25cal fx hybrid slugs and decided to test them this morning. I know they shoot better with the new fx superior liner, but to my big surprise, they fly everywhere and turned my dreamline nearly to a shotgun! I got 3" groups at 25 yards. My setup is fx dreamline-tac with power plenum, reg 145bar, power wheel at max, I tried 950 fps to 1000+fps, but the group always be like 2"-3" at 25 yards, I didn't even try at 50 yards and beyond.

I got my .25 rigs back in car and took out my .22 dreamline-pup, shot .22 hybrid slugs sub-moa at 50 yards, 875fps with power plenum and reg 140bar.

So, to whom don't have a superior liners or don't plan to buy one, forget .25 hybrid slugs, they are hopeless with your stx barrel.

BTW: It can be seen in the photo that there is dew on the moderator, reason is air humidity is high this morning, and the air at the muzzle expands violently when shot, causing the temperature to decrease.

Just tested fx .25 slugs in slug liner A. Not working at all. Best i got was 2" group at 55yards at around 800fps with biger velocities i got 8" groups. With NSA i got one biger hole with 5 shots repeatedly around 980fps 33.5 gr

why not stick with NSA? They are like half the price without the fancy packaging that needs to be thrown away.

This is very disappointing. In 22 the hybrids shoot fantastic out of my Wolverine at only 760ftps. Got a 25 cal Impact coming and was looking forward to changing between these hybrids and pellets but think I will pass and stick to jsb heavies. £100 for a liner to shoot slugs that cost the same as my 22lr ammunition and probably won't be able to match my Anschutz, absolutely no point. Rather cynical to develop a slug that doesn't work in your own barrel liners.

This seems to happen a lot in the industry. All testing with a particular projectile, or even a whole gun in that matter, is done in the .22 caliber. Then the .25 cal is an after-thought, knowing everyone who has good luck in .22 will try a .25. So, they just cookie-cut the .25 from the .22, but it never works the same.

This happened in the past with AA guns, they just put a .25 barrel into a .22 platform. Also withHades, a .22 Hades does more damage (at 900fps in my experience) than the .25. I'm not saying a .25 Hybrid is bad, but just in order to make it work, you will have to try it at different speeds or different barrels or different guns.
