To my knowledge, it's almost identical to the impact functionally except it's in a traditional rifle form, but you probably know that. If you're looking for exact length, weight, etc. I haven't seen anyone post the numbers yet. The gun isn't even listed on FX's website. My guesstimates are that it uses the impact's 20" barrel for smaller calibers, 24" barrel for larger ones & has a ~40" overall length. Don't know how much it would weigh, but I would expect the laminate to add some heft comparable to the impact.

Often see it written that the Crown's power ajustment is the same as the impact but a rifle instead of a bull pup. From what I have seen written about the gun it is quite different. All of the impacts adjustments influence air flow at the valve. That is the hammer spring or power wheel adjuster and the valve controller both act upon the valve. The crown has adjustable hst (power wheel) but its second adjustment is no longer further adjustment of the valve. The crowns second adjustment is totally different as it adjusts the size of the transfer port.

It will be really interesting to see how this will work comparing it to the impact. This may be a design that is better and could be used in there future bullpup? It may just be be it was more suited to the design of the rifle. An adjustable tp of course is not new and been around on other guns for years.

I spoke with with the Australian distributor about when we might get our hands one. This was 2 or 3 weeks ago. He seemed to think it still quite some time off.

"Dirte"They must be in the "X" File.
That's the F "X" file! LOL

I personally would rather have a longer wait than a rifle that had problems.
I am sure the wait is somewhat intentional to create "hype" for the rifle resulting in more sales. The more we talk and lust after this rifle and the more suspense, the more potential sales. Once the suspense is over, we as consumers are on to the next exciting rifle and this rifle potentially can go on the back burner. People don't realize the cost in R & D on any new product so getting tons of sales up front helps to off-set the initial cost and moves them faster into the black on their project.
Right or wrong, it's business.
I am sure it will be worth the wait, and if you gotta have a new rifle now, there are sooooo many cool ones out there; get a second one that's available and "play" with it while you wait. I might suggest the new Renegade HP in .25 ( it's on my want list)

The flip side of any of those schemes is that the next thing comes along and people lose interest in your project. Consumers in general are fickle.

Us airgunners are not, of course! We're hanging in there wait on the Crown.

Hi guys:

I have already payed for a Crown in .25; and like you I'm getting impatient about waiting this long to receive my rifle, so... I send an email directly to FX and some guy named Johan from the sales department reply to my email on june 16th. He wrote that the firts batch of Crowns will be sent to AoA in "a week or two" (it's been a week now since Johan's email). Well, based on Johan's information I guess that the first Crowns will arrive to AoA around mid july.

I'm really confused.
Buying a barrel sleeve for $100.00 won't get you a complete package to realize a caliber change ???
when I finally receive my Black pepper laminate .30 caliber Crown I will be considering ordering a .17 or .22 setup but I'll have to get Airgunsofarizona to present me with a price for the complete setup. I don't plan on waiting for a great length of time for the Crown. I just might opt for a Impact instead. I already have a FX Royale Boss and a Sumatra 2500 but the Crown appears to be quite the rifle. Hopefully FX will be providing the barrel setups sometime soon. It seems to me that the barrel assemblies could/should be produced and made available for the many Crown buyers. COME ON FX AND PUT PEOPLE TO WORK PRODUCING THESE NEW PRODUCTS.

The reps from AoA and Utah Airguns both said they do not have pricing for the caliber change. They estimated that it would be similar to an Impact barrel change which is ~$495. If you already have a FX Boss in .30 cal, that is very similar to the FX Crown in form/function. Word is the wait will be 1Q2018 if you're ordering now. Again, just estimates.

Good Luck!

It seems to me that about $500.00 for a complete barrel setup is a bit to much. Spending $2000.00 for a rifle and $100.00 for a extra magazine has brought me to conclude that this AirGun interest can cost a bundle. I also have spent over another $2500.00 for a Omega Super Charger and a small and large carbon fiber tank. By the time a Crown is available it just might be that FX or other air rifle brands could be considered. I need to be more patient but it seems that it could be risky to receive a rifle that has yet to be evaluated by purchasers. Maybe it would be best to wait about six months until the Crown is in the hands of buyers that can offer informative and appreciated reviews. I'm certainly keeping my position on the backorder list for the Crown but the Daystate Hi-Tech Wolverine has got my attention and it is available now.

I'm not in any rush to get my FX Crown; I do have my spot on "the list". I figure by the time my number comes up there will be thousands in the hands of shooters and any issues will be discovered, discussed, and resolved.

Yep - PCP airguns can be an expensive endeavor.
