FX Crown with Saber Tactical chassis

I have the Crown MK2 in the Saber Tactical stock. I REALLY REALLY like it. A lot!!! It is adjustable everywhere for a nice custom fit. The fill port is nice and roomy and comes with a nice cap. The folding butt is nice. It does have a little bit of “play” in the hinge where it folds. I had to get used to that but I’m willing to over look it because of how nice the whole package is. The Arca Rail is awesome if you want to shoot from a tripod. I’ve just recently begun using a tripod and it has been great. I was very pleasantly surprised how sturdy and solid a strong tripod can be under the rifle and the arca rail on the Saber Tactical make a solid connection. The one problem is that you have to remove the stock to access the fine hammer spring adjustment and removing the stock is not a quick easy process.

I have an Impact MK2 that I thought was a wonderful gun ( and it is) but I have found that I really like the longer rifle format of the Crown in the Saber stock over the bull pup styling of the Impact. The Crown is definitely much longer with a 600 mm barrel than the Impact with a 700 barrel. The impact is still several inches shorter.

Please let me know if you have any specific questions that I can answer.

I have the Saber Crown, but never the regular stock version. I have owned several Red Wolfs which basically have the same normal stock.

I always prefer a chassis and this is no different. The biggest thing for me is not worrying about the “wood” and singing it up. Both have all the adjustments, but the chassis allows for a bipod much further out. One disadvantage is that it takes longer to take the chassis down to get to the full hammer spring adjustment.

My Saber Tactical has been the best 22 air rifle I have owned and that is saying something considering the Red Wolf with the Helliboard was a close second.
