FX Crown Valve Seat Removal

I've never done it on a Crown, but the action looks very similar to a Boss

In that case, yes you could remove the valve seat from the back side of the action after removing the hammer.

You will need a long and thin rod or other pusher, preferably made of a non-marring material (plastic, or metal with a little piece of silicone tubing over the end). Once again, if like the Boss, the back side of the valve seat should just slightly impinge into the hole the valve itself would stick through - giving you just a little lip to catch and push it forward.

This won't take much force at all - the valve seat is held into its hole in the block just by the interference fit of the (lubricated) o-ring around its exterior. If force seems to be needed, you are doing something wrong!

Thanks a lot, I'll try that.

So to close the topic, I wasn't able to get that tool quick enough and the valve seat cannot be pushed from the hammer side as the opening at the hammer side is smaller than the seat ID.

What worked for me finally is to lodge my 5.5 pellet probe in it and pull it out. I imagine that got it scratched a bit but I am replacing it anyways.

Thanks for the help all.
