Good morning all,
The main question, will the newer model fx crown valve pins fit the older gen fx crown? I have a first gen crown, valve pin has the black derlin on it.
Here is why I am asking:
I replaced my valve seat with a 6.35 seat. It worked fine except for the following:
- When I screw the bottle to the gun, it leaks air from the port. I have a hammer weight and the hammer spring is tense. If I pull the bolt before screwing the bottle, it works fine and I can put the bolt on with no issues and it cycles fine.
- I noticed high variance in speed after trying the rifle for the first time after adding all the mods. I opened it and noticed a few broken things. The valve spring seat (D39) and the oring (D38) were gone with few pieces of plastic inside the valve housing. Possibly the valvehouse (D36) that screws into the action is missing a few pieces as well where the valve spring sits. My guess is that the valve pin goes too far into the new valve seat and a hammer hit has caused the valve pin to break stuff up.
I am thinking the newer valve pins has wider seating area so it could accommodate the wider valve seat.
Sorry for the long post.
