FX Crown Saber Tactical monopod mount.

Picked up a new Saber Tactical field monopod for my Crown but unfortunately Saber doesn’t currently make a mount for traditional stock users.

So here’s what I came up with.

Aluminum inserts are press fit. This will give me something to thread into.

Made an adapter plate that matches the stock profile and drilled and tap the inserts in the stock spacer.

I had to mill off the tabs on the back of the Saber Tactical adapter.

Turned out great. Rock solid with out adding much weight. I really like this monopod. Really convenient to just pop it off when I want to go hunting.

It would be great if Saber made a drop in replacement spacer/mount.

I just made that with a little bit of manual milling, file, Dremel, and a belt sander.

It turned out nice but it was a lot of hand labor. The profile, matching the stock was just roughly milled and then I belt sanded the profile. Nobody’s making and money following my process. 🤣

I just really like making things even if it is the hard way.
I wanted to be able to mount it without permanently messing up the stock. The spacer provided a nice mounting point that would be cheap and easy to replace and put back to stock.
