FX fx crown remove plastic washer under the gauge

Has anyone removed the plastic washer that sits under the pressure gauge on an fx crown mk2?
Saw that Utah airguns posted a video on youtube but they just say they uses a torch to deform it and then use a pick to take it out.
Can it be done without the torch?

Heat the end of a small slotted screwdriver (that fits in gauge receptacle hole) to melt a slot in the plastic washer, let it cool & then "unscrew" it out of gauge receptacle hole. Been removing them with that method for years, causes no damage to anything but washer. Screwdriver head should be just narrow enough to not touch threading

My comment for @asgardpark is -
In my experience they don't wear out very often.
Are you sure it's not sealing and needs to be roved?

Yeah i supposed to change the gauge to regulator because it s about 40-50bar off but i took the wrong gauge off... didnt get it to seal again when i realised i made a mistake.
