FX Crown per 4 more powerful than MAX pwr

Good day, everyone. I recently tuned my FX Crown with the guided help of an employee at FX USA. I do not have a Chrony yet but I chronied it before the tune at a friend and it was running the 18.13 grain JSBs at 979/980 avg power and shot the 22 grain FX Hybrid Slugs at 875 fps avg. After the tune I shot the JSB 18.13 at Max power and it definitely did more damage than it did before but on pwr 4 it seems even more powerful than MAX power and .177/.22. has anyone ever had an issue lije this where a lower power setting yielded more pwr than a higher pwr setting? Might just be my imagination since my chrony isn't here yet, just wanted to know if that's possible.
 
Oh yes, it’s possible, and your along way out, your hammer is hitting too hard or your reg is too low, don’t take this wrong, but this goes for everyone! 

never, never! Do that! You cannot tune these over the phone without a crony! I think I’m pretty safe saying no one can, not correctly! 

It’s like buying a car without a steering wheel, ya just kinda got to have it!! Go to your buddy’s house that has one and turn that hammer spring down, or be safe in the meantime and shoot it on 3,

you got in this pickle because the Fx employee is assuming your gauges are correct and that is a huge gamble. 👍🏻 Good luck

P.s. a close reference to look at when retuning is about 50 FPS graduation between power wheel settings, or at least 30👍🏻

@jayson thank you very much. I believe I know what the issue is, I turned too many times on the hammer screw now I'm wasting air. The gauges were off by 20 bar the gun came reading 140/145 bar I took one shot and it went down to 120/125 I got the human gauges to replace them. The employee said two full turns of hammer for every 5 bar is "safe". I went to 130 and did 8 half turns, I'll have to back off and see.
