fx crown leak after bottle removal.

i unscrewed the tank. i fired a shot to get the remaining air out and it kept hissing a bit. i did some work on the trigger setting. when i put all back together and screwed the tank back in, i could hear a slight leak. i cocked it and was still leaking. fired and still leaked.
i found a very small oring near the safety screw when reassembling so i put it on the screw for the safety lever. is that correct? or is that little oring from somewhere else and causing my leak?

You are correct, the o-ring is for the safety.

You don't mention WHERE the leak is, or approximately. Anytime I have to disassemble anything that has an o-ring associated with it I replace that o-ring with a new one. Leaks are frustrating but, usually, easily fixed.

the leak is coming out of the right side of the receiver out of the little hole that lines up with the reg. so…. do i need to replace all orings on the reg?

If I had to guess I would say your air bottle gauge is leaking. Evidently it is common on the Crown. I received a new Crown Continuum from Pyramid Air (after paying them the $10 for 10 check list (one of which was check for leaks) and it leaked right out of the box. After zero help from PA (except the recommendation I call FX in North Carolina and talk to a tech) and lots of opinions on this forum, I was able to figure out it was the air gauge. FX sent me new and improved washers for the gauge and that fixed the problem. I had to buy a "thin" 11mm - 7/16 open end wrench that would fit between the gauge and the block. My new Crown is leaking around the air bottle, right out of the box. Can someone verify if there is supposed to be a rubber washer in there somewhere, either in the rifle part or inside the bottle neck? Thought I would check here before calling FX for help.

Remove the stock from the action, air it up & use a dish soap (three drops) & water solution in a spray bottle to definitively locate leak. DRY thoroughly afterwards. If you hadn't removed regulator those rings are probably OK. Might be pressure gauge as said above.

im guessing its something in the reg. as stated above i found the leak coming from the hole on the side of the receiver. looks to be the breather hole for the reg. ill just order all the orings for the reg and see if that helps.

is the serial number on the crown on the bottom of the block
near the regulator gauge? some of the orings are different and are serial number dependant.
