FX FX Crown hammer spring dial UPGRADE ??

Hello members
It's my understanding that the later version of the FX Crown hammer spring dial (numbers/no letters) is a drop-in replacement for the one with letters and numbers,
Is that true?
If so,
What is the part #, and can it be bought form FX USA?
Also.
Any installation tips appreciated.

Yes, I got mine a while ago from FX, sorry I don’t have the part #, but a phone call should get you what you need.
Installation is straightforward, work over a towel as there are two tiny detent balls and springs that enjoy traveling.

Super easy to do. I bought extra springs and detent balls when I ordered mine. Always better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

I bought the parts from FXUSA
Here are the part #s and prices

19908 Power Adjuster WH3 $28.03
4066 Steel Ball $1.80
11501 Spring $1.30
Freight $9.00

My total with an extra ball & spring came to $38+ 2bits. & 2 scents

I bought it and the Monster wheel made by one of the member here. The Monster wheel was better. I had an issue with the FX one. It always wanted to loosen.

What caused your _FX made wheel" to keep coming loose?
Nothing as simple as screw needing to be tightened, I imagine.

Tightening the screw just made it harder to turn. Tighten too tight and couldn’t turn the wheel. I was told to use a different oring, but guess I wasn’t using the right size. I received the monster soon after and I liked it more, so I didn’t have to worry about it anymore. Probably was just an oring issue.

I’ve had no problems with mine, and I have had it on and off a bunch of times.

Sometimes a magnet is your friend. A tiny bit of grease will keep the little balls on the springs for reassembly.
