FX Crown Hammer Spring Adjustment

Hey Crown owners....

Have a question for you all....

I got another Crown yesterday, this time a Continuum (.22). Bought brand new and was running some shots over the chrony and when I tried to adjust the hammer spring the thing would not budge....

I took the adjuster out if the action and was able to get it to turn maybe a turn and a half either direction and it just locked up.....To the point it bent my Allen wrench!

I e-mailed in an order for new one from Melissa at FX Service tonight (Which means my brand new 1700 gun is useless for a week or so until she process the order and ships it out)....

Has anyone else had this issue?

Really starting to loose patience with FX, seems like it is one thing after another lately OR I can never find what I need in stock!

Another $5,000.00 spent this week alone on another Impact, Crown Continuum, Wildcat MK3 and have had to replace gauges, transfer ports, pellet probes. and now this....

Damn fine guns don't get me wrong but man it is really starting to bum me out having to always dump money into these brand new, expensive guns....

Oh well rant over....

Stay Safe all and a little public service announcement....WEAR A MASK and GIVE PEOPLE SOME SPACE IF YOU GO OUT (I promise it works)!!

Too bad folks under 30 can’t keep their hands off each other.

Ha, MOSTLY the under 30 crowd BUT I will say us middle age fellas are not much better....We hit the grumpy no longer give a crap stage of life and of course "No one is gonna tell me what we can and can't do!!"

I will say for the most part the ladies put us to shame.....I swear my wife now thinks of masks as the latest fashion accessory " Honey, does this mask match my shoes?"

Guys and Gals,

The Crown Continuum is back on her feet....

New parts arrived from FX and hammer spring adjuster now turns smooth as silk...

Took a few minutes (and a nice glass of Rye) to get her back together and she is all set!

Did a bit of work with the FX chronograph and with the .22 700mm barrel on high was slinging the 18 grain at 1050 FPS on down the power wheel and the 380mm barrel was in the 900's on down...

The 25.39 redesigns are in the mid 900's out of the 700mm and are absolutely amazing out of the Superior liner....

Plan on getting the .30 700mm barrel on tomorrow and hoping to get it tuned to around 850 with the 44 grain....Making this one into a long range critter getter...

Will be putting together some range cards for .25 and .22 as well....I am not a big slug shooter but want to see what I can get done with the FX Hybrids as well....Thinking this can be a nice plug and play gun as long as all settings etc. are properly documented...

Thanks all fkr the comments...

Stay Safe!!

Hi Mike,

I assume you're trying to squeeze out a little more power? I just received mine as well in .22 caliber and intend to use for highpower .22 competition if I can get the power up. I ordered from Utah Airguns with a Huma transfer port and Hydro Dip, looks great just need the performance tuning now...Have you installed a strong hammer spring yet? Looking forward to your next update.
