FX Crown fired with action back .

Hi Guys.. I was teaching the Wife to shoot with the FX Crown and she pulled the trigger with the Action back . It slammed shut and scared the hell out of her. Considering I had spent XXXX time explaining the procedure its still my fault . I tested it after and it shot right buy 2 moa for a few shots then came good .

All seems ok , but what sort of damage can this do other that Probe damage and maybe O ring damage in the Breach . Anything else to keep an eye on. Im sure im not the only one to have happen .

Newer shooters seem to shoot air guns rather often with the breech open. That is if they remembered to cock the gun after their last shot at all! ;)

No, I haven't seen any real damage after shooting with an open breech on Crowns, Dreamlines or Air Arms - and it seems to happen at least once a week at the weekly airgun shoots I host in my back yard. Just loss of the breech o-ring. But if for some reason the gun is shooting different after the 'event', maybe change out the o-ring even if it stayed in place. Could have gotten nicked.
