I have done tons of reading about shrouds, LDCs etc etc. I wanted to make myself a carbon shroud that would actually work. So I did.
It started out as a 29x32 mm tube. After some doodling, I thought why not make the LDC integral in the shroud tube? So I did.
The tube is 700 mm long, with 3 different length hair curlers, 2 custom washers and felt at the end past the stripper. A scratch pad went in between the shroud and the barrel. (I’ll get pictures when I disassemble it for anodizing of the aluminium)
I may change the design slightly, go with some high strength plastic instead but I tell you it is quieter than anything I’ve ever bought or used or seen used. And it isn’t very heavy. I should patent the design
.25 33.95 @ 860ish fps barely makes any sound, and accuracy is as good as or better than it was
