FX Crown Continuum Slug Liner?

I have tried shooting various grain Neilson slugs (variety pack) out of my FX Crown with not much luck. I have tested with the long and short barrel. My question is: Will I see a big improvement by purchasing one of the slug liners. I was thinking of buying the slug liner for the 700mm barrel instead of the short barrel. Anyone with direct experience?

Depends on the slugs you want to shoot, for lighter slugs I would recommend the superior liner, had great accuracy out if it, slug liners are more picky but it’s dead accurate if you use the slugs it likes.

I'm still trying to understand the love affair with slugs. I've tried them in a number of my guns: RAWs, FXs, Daystates, in various calibers. They DO NOT outshoot pellets. I'm done wasting my money of these things.

I live in Texas where the hogs have taken over. I want to ear hole one or 50 with a slug. The only other thing I hunt with my air rifle are squirrels. The pellet does a good job of that.

Indeed. I've got a slug a liner in my 700mm crown barrel, but a superior heavy would be an improvement. 

I've gotten truly ridiculous accuracy with 36gr boat tail .218 slugs @870fps. I mean tight clover leafs @ 100 yards. 

The performance gain vs pellets is stupendous. But I do not like the long barrel. So I am tuning my gun for lighter slugs and got a 500mm shroud and superior liner. Most shots pellets are more than adequate, but the smart squirrels really do need slugs to take at 80 plus yards. In 22 caliber, anyhow

I'm with you on the long barrel. The 700 mm looks stupid on the gun. I wish I could sell it and get a 500 mm. The 380 mm is a laser with pellets.

I sold my 700mm here on the Classified Forum and installed a 600mm .22 heavy liner instead . Minorly tried slugs but didn't wanna take the to tune it since it shoots pellets very well at 50 yards.
