You received a lot of thoughts, tips and suggestions ‘ as to why’ contained within this thread. Why don’t you try what is suggested by Greg in post #15. Heavier pellet and increase the velocity worked for him.

I am attaching the video done by Matt Dubber a couple of years ago about the spiral problem. The problem is a function of the pellet speed , the wind speed and direction, the pellet size and shape, and the twist rate of the barrel. As explained in the video an unsettling force (like a cross wind) can cause a chain reaction of events which induce spiraling. The further the range the larger the spiral. Matt also includes a link to a Slovanian guy who has a video that is a bit more technical in his explanation. Enjoy!
