Fx Crown and their stock pricing.

Does anyone else have a hard time swallowing the difference in price between a synetheic stock and a laminate? $400. 

Kills me when a decent Boyd's is $150. Wonder if they could offer them?

$400 does seem a bit high however I believe I read somewhere that they are made in Italy. If that's true, then they aren't made in-house and they would need to import them so that probably adds to the higher than normal cost. They are beautiful stocks though!

I don't see why any stock manufacture couldn't duplicate the Crown stock.

I think they are Minelli from Italy. Really nice stocks but still not sure $400 nice.

Interesting Krale has the walnut for $1492.54 and $1316.37 synthetic. ONLY $176.17 difference. 

Oops false alarm the Laminate is $1712.75 a $396.38 difference.

I remember years ago laminate stocks were considered nothing special....scrap wood glued to make a plank to make a stock. Lower cost to walnut. Go figure.

Good find Yo! So maybe the $400 up-charge is in line for the laminate. I have the green lam Crown (it seems to be a combo of the other colors plus green) and it is easily the sweetest stock of any rifle I own. Makes me smile every time I even look at it and that's gotta be worth something.

Dont forget, just the fittings in the laminate cheekpiece system would run to $100+ if it were from a custom maker!
