Can you try the 8g and 10g pellets at 780fps for me? Otherwise the 16gr seem to be moving at the right speed for the weight.
John no. He wrote the 16grain at 50yards did not even stay on paper.
Thanks for answering a question you weren't asked. Maybe next time try reading the question correctly. I didn't ask about heavy pellets. Only the 8.4 and 10.3.
So, Arvid. Would you mind testing the 8.4g and 10.3g pellets at 780fps or so for each round. Thank you.
John.
Sure
Hopefully this weekend.
Hello John.
Sorry for the late reply. I finaly got time and to do some testing.
First target: 10 shot with JSB 8,44 before i adjusted fps. I wanted to see how they did at high speed.
Second target: 10 shot JSB 8,44 at 780 fps.
Third target: 10 shot with JSB 10,34 at 973 fps. (The text in target say i used my AA S510, but i used my FX Crown.)
Fourth target: 10 shot with JSB 10,34 780 fps.
Fifth target: 10 shot with JSB 13,43 at 780 fps.
Sixth target: 10 shot with JSB 13,43 at 650 fps.
I know that you didnt ask about the 13,43, but the tin was at my shooting bench, so why not
Due to bad weather and wind the was no use to shoot at 50 m. Anyhow, it seems that you can slow these pellets down quite a bit and get great accuracy at 20 to 30 meters. The JSB Beast 16,2gr shoots almost hole in hole from 730 to 810 fps (and maybe higher fps, i have not tested yet). BUT wont even hit the target stand at 50 meters at these fps. So i guess the 16,2 needs more fps to be accurate at longer distances.
