FX Chronograph Scratchy Voice

My FX Chronograph sounds like there is static or something in the voice. It has always done this. It works fine in all other respects. It is paired with an iPhone XR. Has anyone else had this experience? Any guess as to the what may be causing it or how to fix it? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the phone and it is the most current revision.

I never noticed there was a button to turn sound ON.

Yep - there it is. I wonder if it was there in the first versions of the app?
