Just received new impact. Will this be an issue? Its new, Just emailed dealer, hopefully they'll replace it.
Fx bottle has a nic/gouge in it.

Any noticeable gouge is a concern with CF bottles as that is where the strength is, 4500 psi working pressure as opposed to 3000 psi for an aluminum tank. A brand new gun should not have a gouge in the bottle. At $299.00+ a piece they are not cheap either. They BETTER replace it for you, it is a safety issue.

Fill pressure may be 3600 psi but most CF wrapped aluminum bottles have a maximum of 4500 psi as opposed to straight aluminum bottles at 3000 psi. I stand corrected, thanks Bob.

Could be wrong, but firemen run around @4500 fills fighting fires banging into things with these tanks all the time. Think these tanks stay pristine? A scrape OK but a deep gouge might be a different story. Now at the price of a new gun I would want it with no scratches.

I don't see that being a safety issue at all. You could touch it up with a dab of clear finger nail polish though. As some one mentioned, the SCBA's that our firefighters use are beat all to hell a lot of the time and pass inspection.

Let us know the dealer even if they do replace it. It's good to know not only who doesn't take care of issues on a new gun, but who does stand behind the products they sell. They aren't going to catch every little thing. No one will. But if they take care of the issue, well then, that says a lot about their customer service, and I think they deserve a shout-out for it just as much as they deserve to be thrown under the bus if they don't take care of it.

I’ll let you know the dealer if they refuse to replace.
Share it even if they do replace it. We need to know of the good dealers so that we can refer to them when purchasing stuff.
