So I bought a FX Bobcat when they first came out and love the accuracy but it only shoots pellets because of the smooth twist barrel. Does any body know if it can be rebarreled to shoot hybrids and pellets ? That would be upgrading my best rifle.

I've had the same questions as you with my Royale 500(.25 cal). It's the exact same platform as the Bobcat. The Original Smooth Twist barrels WILL NOT shoot slugs with any kind of acceptable accuracy but they ARE, arguably, the best PELLET barrels ever made. You might want to PM Glem.Challey (sp?) with your query. BTW, I've tried hybrids, Varmint Knockers, NSA, etc. The OST barrels just don't like them.

Yep, my .25 Bobcat was the most accurate gun I owned, till I got my .30 Impact; and it's only just little more accurate.

When I was making inquiries what I found out was that it takes a .30 cal platform that can be converted to a .25 cal slugger (changing barrel & probe from .30 to .25) but cant do it with a .25.

Yes I can understand that but I was looking to stay 25 cal but shoot hybrids and pellets. Investing in a new two thousand dollar rifle plus scope is out of the question so I’m looking into the rebarrel to get my Bobcat going on both.
