Tuning FX Barrel Tuner Question

I have an Impact X in .30 cal. with a power plenum installed. I recently installed the new FX barrel tuner and Donny Fl moderator. My speeds changed from 970fps to 914fps with no other changes made to the gun. Is this normal to experience this loss of speed? Thanks in advance.

Maybe you have some clipping going on? Try it without the mod and without the threaded insert at the end of the tuner.

I agree, you did use the largest inside diameter insert right? And you have used this moderator before on this?

Yes I did use the largest diameter insert on the barrel tuner. I have always used the 700mm FX barrel shroud with the FX moderator ( the hollow tube ). I understand that the insert along with the Donny Fl are much more restrictive, I did not realize they would make such an impact on my speed. I will re-tune my gun with the tuner and moderator installed. It is not clipping, as my shots are still accurate.
