I’m curious how a liner is expected to shoot without the external o-rings.
I ask because on AEAC, in the Impact Review, it was noted that there wasn’t a whole lot of difference with or without the o-rings.
I have observed with my .25 slug liner and without the o-rings, I’m seeing diagonal groups of 5” at 10 yards. This just doesn’t seem right
With the 3 o-rings installed, it’s night and day but I have been unable to get single hole groups at 20 yards as I try to harmonically tune. I’ve tried different reg settings and valve settings.
I’m concerned the 5” no o-ring groups might indicate a defective liner.
Has anyone else tried shooting without the o-rings? I’d like to know what group size others might be seeing without these rings
Thanks,
KP
FYI I have a Gen. 1 .25 Impact with 600 mm barrel/pellet liner A and after tuning, I’m seeing consistent 0.23-0.29” groups at 60 m with JSB MKII so I’m pretty confident in my tuning abilities.
