Tuning FX AMP REGULATOR MAINTENANCE

What is the proper way to seat the reg piston in the block, I saw ernest rowe use a tool

and I saw someone else use a needle nose pliers wrapped with tape which looked 

awkward. I reached out to ernest and have not received a reply, FX usa doesn't have 

a tool. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You'll think this is hilarious, my super fancy reg seating tool. (I use the heat shrink to put over the Delrin piece when I blow it out of the action to make sure I don't send Belleville's everywhere)

Same, works well. You can put a bit of silicone grease inside to hold it in place as you install it.

I assemble the piston and washers together with the brass reg housing and install as one piece. No tool needed, but you have to do it with the gun right side up and muzzle down a little so the piston doesn't fall out of the brass housing.
