Recently bought a used regulator for my FX IMPACT. What is the best way I can clean it?
Like anything else, take it apart and clean it. Relube and assemble, theres good videos on YT i assume.
I've had Huma in a gun before and theyre NO BETTER than a good working fx reg. The AMP version is spectacular.

Why are you such a hater? Mommy didn't hug you enough?

Why the name calling? Aren’t we all grown ups here?
my wildcat had the huma installed before I bought it. The previous owner had creep issues from the get go. I personally have no experience with the amp. I guess people can’t have fun on his forum any more without being attacked for having their own opinion. That being said, all of my replies had laughing emojis after. If you can’t take my joking around, then I guess it’s YOU that needs a hug![]()

You're the same guy that started a thread about how fx are "known to be unreliable" i think you're driving an agenda. That sounds like a "fact" not an opinion to me.
Hey its all about having fun right? Lets see this same fun pointed elsewhere since in no way are you a hater.
But keep up the useful contributions in this thread.
Once is a joke, two posts in a row not dropping it and doubling down I think more you're trying to say something under the guise of a joke.
Back to my original observation, and a question for the OP, why do you believe the reg needs cleaning?
Remove all O-rings and spray it good with non-chlorinated brake cleaner. Lightly re-lube with light weight silicon oil.
Why do you want to clean it? What cause you to suspect the regulator is dirty? Do you suspect dirty air got into the gun? If the gun is shooting well then leave it alone, if it isn’t shooting well then it probably something else. If you aren’t careful cleaning can introduce more dirt than you clean out. The most I would do is spray with a little car electronic cleaner and done.
Huma is NOT better(maybe better marketing), I’ve tried a gun with huma and the spread is over 30 and SD of over 10......non-regulated gun with a good tune is far more consistent, why bother!!! I’ve got my impact’s spread down below 10 and SD between 3-4 on long shot strings and even better With short 5-10 shot strings......don’t think Huma can beat that.
