Guys, when you ship something precious off through the mail, UPS, FedEx etc. be sure and triple check the shipping label. About three weeks ago I UPS'ed my FX 500 to AOA for a regulator install after talking to the staff there and setting up the deal. About a week after checking the tracking number and seeing that it was delivered to the front desk I called AOA and to check on the progress. Well, they said it hadn't been delivered yet and I said yes it had and it had been signed for by and employee who of course didn't work there! yikes!!.
I had used the convenience of our company's suppliers UPS shipping program since they would ship it for no cost to me. Here's where the mistakes started. First "I' gave the address to the warehouse as a 1917 street number instead of 1970. Second the "warehouse" did not include the "suite 109" part of the address. To make a long, painful story short UPS tracked it down to a business there in Gilbert. The box had not been opened and they took it to AOA. Needless to say I was really worried and figured someone now had my action and barrel at there house.
Called AOA yesterday and the work was already complete, and was ready for shipping as soon as payment was made. Due to the mistakes made on my part and the warehouse's part the contact information wasn't set up properly so they didn't know who to contact for payment. Anyway I should have it in a couple of days and get back to shooting this fine gun.
So again just double check your labels and you'll get a few less gray hairs before you should.
