The Sumo in .25 work so well, I had to mod one for .30 Cal, I bore it out slightly and added B-felt now it's the quietest .30 shooting at 83fpe. Man it looks way better now.

Looks great. Would love to see/hear a video of the Sumo .25 in action. Perhaps with other LDC's as comparrisons and one with no mod.

Now that u made it a .30 cal is it as quiet on the .25 or .22 as it was before u inlarged the the bore
I have a sumo .25 but shoot it on my warp .22 and I have a .30 barrel for the warp I want to shoot quiet
I did buy a new sumo .30 but it's a 2x6.5 kinda like a fatboy but bigger I will use it on my flex .308 I just like the look of the sumo .25 size on the warp better
but need the .22 to be quiet don't want to drill out the hole if I can't use it and it won't be as quiet as before I drill ,just needed to know if there was a deference u noticed

.30 sumo is used only with .30
I have another .25 sumo that I used on .22,
I tried the .30 sumo on a .22--- > not quite!

It looks like the rear tube that the Sumo mounts too is a larger diameter than the normal tube.
Any chance for conversion instructions or Sumo kit?
With the standard sliding moderator the dog runs and the wife covers her ears when I pick up the FX .30 cal rifle.

Yes it's a larger OD tube, the sumo screw on direct to the barrel 1/2 20, the sumo has vents at the rear and vents into the shroud--- so it's quieter then normal .30 sumo.

I believe the new LDC's coming in from DonnyFL will be the same design venting into the shroud. I'm 99.9% sure, but I'm sure Donny will chime in to confirm. I can't wait to get my hands on it, the design looks so promising.

I would like one for my .22 barrel, it came with the telescopic shroud. the .25 Is quiet enough with the huggett.

Not liking that telescoping shroud huh? I don't blame you. I just wish that FX would sell the barrels a la cart without the telescoping shroud. Lucky for you, you will soon have the option to get a fixed shroud and LDC of your choice from Donny.

Hey guys, the .30 Shroud that is currently being made is very similar to the OEM. only difference is that it will have a 1/2 x 20 male adapter and a thread protector cap. The LDC will not vent back into the shroud, that'll require drilling holes in the rear of Sumo as well as holes in the shroud around the 1/2 x 20 adapter. If you look at Ernest's picture. The shroud does not have any type of cap in the front. It is wide open exposing the barrel threads. His LDC screws directly into the barrel and not the shroud.
The OEM shroud and my shroud will have a muzzle break like at the tip of the barrel that will allow some air to get pushed to the rear before entering the LDC. Hope that makes sense
