FWB Sport?

Yes, I own a new model Sport. It is an exceptionally well made gun. A beautiful finish with design features you won’t find on any other break barrel. The Sport is a very accurate gun, and I regularly out score PCPs at our Club competitions.

I purchased mine a year ago and it has given faultless service.

Richardo,

Thank you. That is exactly the kind of information I am looking for. You mention your club? Would that be field target by chance? Does it seem to have a consistent and predictable POI or does it like to shift with temperature and air density changes like some springers do? Did you have it tuned, do it yourself, or just shooting it as received?

Thanks for letting me pick your brain.

I am sure they are nice rifles. Unfourtunately there was so much hype, not from FWB but from the public, anticipating the greatest spring rifle ever made. The price was $900 for a break barrel piston rifle. A number of people threw their money down and preordered. Then the rifle came out and it was crickets. For the most part people who spent the big bucks didn't say much. Most reports talked about twang, etc. Some people sent theirs off to be tuned (which by most accounts turned the rifle into something special). At the end of the day all the hype was a let down. It just couldn't live up to the hype and the crazy high price tag. People truely built the rifle up that it would be a hand tuned, match sporter rifle capable of sub 1/2" 50 yard groups out of the box. Well is wasn't even close. I still think they are a very fine rifle. They still aren't cheap but have come down in price quite a bit. The question is the extra cost worth it over an HW or AA? I don't really see spending the extra money over a HW or AA unless I was a collector. Since they never really took off there aren't that many around. Down the road they should hold their value and may be saught after.
