FWB FWB P85 Multi Shot

try some Button hex screw the head height is far less, so the grip might not come to play

You have a good eye for details. (y)
I was in a little hurry when I made this so there was no testing and trying during the making. It is possible I go for just one fastening screw on the next version, it nevertheless pinches very well to the dove tail rail. The screws I have used are a kind of button head screws with Torx grooves, so they do not extend as much as cylinder head hex screws do. But button head hex screws is clearly an option. Also, I intend to make the clamp at least 1mm narrower on each side, and that will make a little better room for the screw heads.
Fitting a scope rail without removing the back sight is more work, and in my opinion a worse solution. I'd have to attach the rail to the barrel shroud, or remove the shroud and clamp the rail around the barrel, which non of is an option for me.
On B96/B98, the sights sit a little higher above the center line on the barrel than on P85. A few millimeters make a big difference when there is so little space.
The rail you put on your B96 looks good. (y) The Areon 5-shot pistols are really nice pistols. :)
