So I picked up a FWB C60 for a song the other day. The catch is that it has been converted to PCP. I have no idea who did the conversion or what they did while they were there. That makes the Lord a bit nervous, so I'm thinking about converting it back to CO2, particularly since I have no way to charge PCP or desire to. I had considered getting ahold of one of those 12 x 2 co2 paintball conversion tanks that uses two co2 12g caplets to make a 24g tank. I asked Airgunwerks about it and they were not overly enthusiastic about "butchering it" like that. Which seemed a bit odd to me since it has already been messed with, but ok, no big deal. I'm looking for a cost effective way to get this thing shooting again. I don't really want to pour 2-3 times what I've got in the gun converting it back to factory spec. I'm curious if anyone has any ideas that I'm not thinking of. I personally felt like being able to run 75 or so shots off a pair of 50 cent 12g caplets sounded like a great way to get it back up and slinging pellets again but maybe someone else has a better idea?

I actually considered buying a pump and just let it be, my main problem with that is that I have no idea what the air cylinder is rated to, came out of, anything? It has no gauge on it so I assume, at best, it’s an older pcp tank and at worst it’s actually a co2 tank. If it’s co2 then it should be dumping air at 3k psi when the safeties kick in (unless they’ve been disabled somehow) I have no idea what kind of shape it is in internally and the whole thing just makes me uneasy to start adding pressure to it with zero knowledge of what’s going on inside.

You have to unscrew the tank in order to fill it. It’s also not cocking when you flip the loading gate up. As in you can’t dry fire the gun at the moment. Does it need gas to dry fire?

I’m about 99% sure this is the original tank so he must have just been running 2000 psi or less into it and letting it bump. What I haven’t figured out is this trigger? By all accounts I should be able to dry fire it so I wonder if it’s just been turned down so low it’s not engaging?

I'm pretty well positive at this point that is exactly what occurred. I've got a fill adapter on the way from Germany at the moment so my intent is to just fill the tank and start shooting. I ordered a seal kit for the rifle with the fill adapter just in case. You weren't wrong when we spoke on the phone, these things aren't terribly difficult to work on. Some of the parts are a bit of a pain to source, but they certainly aren't prohibitively problematic to disassemble and reassemble. I will probably give you a call within the next few days to get your thoughts on how to go about setting up a fill station. I've got two bulk fill pistols and one bulk fill rifle now. My intent was to use one of the two cut off valve with hose setups and put a 1/8 to cga320 adapter at the end of the hose so I could use the bulk fill adapters for all 3 and weigh my fills appropriately.
