FWB 90 value ? trade FWB65?

I have a FWB90 that I purchased about 20? yrs ago at a local gun shop that catered to the olympic training center here. I got lucky about 10 years ago when the condenser on the circuit board went out and I found someone to fix it. Again trigger has been fine for 10 years (I replace the battery every couple of years) but it makes me concerned it will be unrepairable someday or if I pass it along to a relative they will have no idea how to get it fixed. 

I would consider a trade for a FWB65 (more repairable), or given I have a pump and tank I am considering selling the 90 and buying a pcp 10 m pistol.

Thoughts on all this foolishness and reasonable price on a very good cond fwb 90?

Though I’m certainly no expert, I don’t think the FWB 90 pistols will command a price greater than that of the earlier iterations - precisely because of the reasons you have cited. It looks as though your pistol is in wonderful condition and because it has been repaired, will probably last another decade without any problems. I think.

It seems the value on the FWB 65 pistols generally falls somewhere between $400 and $600. Crazy eBay prices during pandemic panic buying sprees aside, and depending on condition, I think that’s a reasonable range.

My preference has always run to mechanical guns because of the propensity for electronics to become obsolete. As you are now realizing, that presents some real problems for the future use and sale of guns with electronic components.

Having written chapters specifically about obsolete ten-meter guns (rifles and pistols), my opinion is not only are both caito and phillip correct in their opinions, assumptions, observations, and appraisal, but likely no-one would be more-so. The only thing I'll add is don't mistake Ebay asking prices for reality. Only actual selling prices matter; and if I'm not mistaken, seldom do we know them.

To check actual sold prices on eBay all you have to do is do an advanced search for completed sales.
