FWB 65 bumper installation trouble

Hey folks, I am having trouble inserting the little bumper that goes in the hole in the bottom of the face of the compression chamber on my FWB 65, even with lube. A YouTube video showed one being pushed in quite easily. The part came along with a piston buffer and breach seal from Pyramid Air for the FWB 65.

Did they send me the wrong part?

Ideas?

It looks (just by visually eyeballing them) different than what's in the PA picture (NO not only color). Is it longer assuming it's gonna be eventually squashed with usage?

If so then I'd assume it's supposed to be a tight fit.

I believe you are not supposed to use any kind of lube.

Great info Odoyle, thanks so much. Will try the slit. Would be nice if there was a spec for how far this buffer should protrude. Will give this a try and then wait and see!

Post the before and "after" chrony #s and how it shoots after broken in if a complete rebuild was done.

You have to let it sit for 24 hours or longer after installing otherwise it may not function properly right away thus the breaking in comment. Means let it sit.
