FWB 300s Hot Rod mod questions

Was just curious If any of you guys had ever attempted really boosting the speed of a 300s ? I have seen videos of guys shooting right at 900fps with 7.87 pellets . I have only had contact with one guy who has done it and he says it's a " trade secret" WTF ever dude . Its done by altering the power stroke o the piston I've heard ..Anyway if you have any info on a similar modifications give me a shout [email protected] ...Thanks JWR

That would be over 14fpe for the 300S. Hmmmmm.....I would imagine 10fpe is possible with a heavy spring. Do you have the link to that video?

No man I dont ! It was a while back . An honestly I've rebuilt a lot of these and I honestly don't see how it's possible. I think I'll just find me a D54 and have it tuned .

Thanks Jack , cool video . Yeah I have tried Numerous spring combos and lubes . The best are either original double springs or Macarri spring. Sometimes a stiffer spring is faster , sometimes not . I have a spring I removed from a gun I rebuilt for a guy . It is stiff as hell but doesn't speed up a gun a bit . Just makes it hard to cock .

PS Robert and John , no WAY I was thinking of doing that to my gun !!! I picked up an old beater and was thinking about it for it . But I think I'll follow my own advice ....If you want 220 Swift speed just buy a Swift , don't tear up a nice 223 .

Hm, hotroding, now you got my brain going, instal a gaspiston, shorten the barrel,skeleton stock,fit an electrical bipod and comb adjuster, with neon ofcourse, tripple lasersights and a small nitro tank on the side if you need moore power!
