i have an FWB 124 but i am not sure about todays market $$ . Anyone have a good idea what one is worth ? just a stock 124 .

I paid $400 for a VERY clean 124 probably 6 months ago. Early 80s I believe, no rubber butt pad, came with the factory irons, and wasn't in need of a rebuild which means someone had probably done it relatively recently.

Condition is a huge factor, down to the smallest detail. Every scratch, ding, and speck of rust (few old airguns are without any at all) takes the worth down a notch. Mint ones would fetch serious money, banged up specimens a fraction of that. A minter would also attract a much larger buying audience.

You might be suprised. I actually like my standard 124 more than my 124D. Its very basic but holy crap does it shoot the lights out. It just proves that sometimes less is more

Passed a couple up for bids on Fleabay, both currently around the $300 mark although 1 is the Beeman badged version.
Just type in either Beeman FWB 124, both should come up for anyone interested.

IMHO, they sell for way more than they are worth.

It wouldn't ne marked 124D....just 124. If it has checkering and a butt pad it's a Deluxe....D.
As mentioned, condition is key...and original equipment...ie..sites.
A nice looking one in mint condition is easily 500 plus.
Those 300 dollar ebay deals are worth their ask. Not much more.

$300 seems to be the price one in good condition needing a re seal sells for. A mint one, with its sights can command as much as $600.

Bought my FWB 124D in 1983 just before I got married during the days you would drool over a Beeman's catalog and send in a mail order form (guess you could call long distance too). I remember it was a difficult decision between the FWB 124D and the Beeman R1 which had just come out. You just had to just wait and wait for the surprise to show up or call long distance. Good thing is this airgun purchase makes it easy to remember my wedding date.

I had approximately $400 in this gun new back in 1983. Per US Inflation Calculator that is $1,254 in today's dollars. $600 for a good used one does not sound out of line. However putting that money in the stock market for S&P stocks would have allowed me to buy a HW 97 plus even a high end water gun looking PCP today.
