Fun with the New Umarex Ruger 1022

Hey guys,

I recently went for several days into the mountains to film for several reviews. I had brought the new Umarex 1022 .177 with me for some fun in camp. I decided to throw together a short little review of it that I hope some may enjoy.

I have stayed away from co2 because i would break the bank buying cartridges.Looks like a good plinking gun.

75 x 12g CO2 caplets costs about £20 here. 88/90g cannisters cost rather more, but adaptors to allow the running of 12g caplets solves that one. You could run a CO2 gun for decades before you spent as much as a dive tank at up, so its horses for courses.

Looks real close to the 1077....and that is a real fun little gun.



If they could just figure out how to make a nice trigger in them....even if they use a little gas to work the action like on some of the hand guns....I think it would go a LONG way.

This is a very inexpensive gun, adding other features just makes cost go up. Co2 is very economical compared to all that's involved with HPA. The trigger really isn't bad in single action but can definitely see that some improvements can be made. For backyard plinker this things awesome as is. Perfect little gun for kids and old farts like me who just want a little fun.
