Are you shooting Hunter Field Target, where the maximum magnification allowed is 16x and clicking is a no-go? Or are you shooting WFTF or Open?
For WFTF I am currently using the Hawks Sidewinder ED 8-40x56. I got it from Cameraland on sale for close to 1/2 off. I'm very happy with it and have no complaints. Excellent glass, great and useful reticle. Consistent and reliable clicks. You can still get them at the $560 sale price on Amazon (regular $950 or so)
Before that I was running the Falcon X50 FT. Also an excellent scope. I like the reticle on the hawke more but this one is a killer. Although twice the price of the Hawke. A lot of guys also run the Sightron SIII 10-50's which is a very similar scope.
For Hunter class, I'm don't shoot it so I don't have any recommendations.
It would help to know what your budget is. This is a selection from 500 to 5000 in semi ascending order. Tac Vector Minotaur 12-60 Sightron Siii 10-50 Falcon X50 Delta Stryker 5-50 Schmidt Bender March 10-60 Kahles
