Front sight on a LDC ?

Back when I was shortening a Government 1911, .45, I wanted to shoot it to make sure everything was happy together before I had it coated with dry film lube.

On a shooting outing with my Dad, he had recently bought a Gold Cup, version of the 1911.

It really pissed him off that he shot better with my cut up, looking like hell, government surplus 1911, used up barrel (much of the rifling is worn away), with a piece of silver duct tape for a front sight than he did with his new Gold Cup.

Hey John.

I make most of my own parts and made these. You need a long or a short? Shorts are about 1/4" and the long is about !/2" You will need to drill and tap a #5-40 for mounting. The fiber optic sight is specific for the diameter of the moderator. That one is for 25 mm and 1" diameter cans. Can use picture mounting tape or super glue to mount. Pick one and PM me with an address to ship to and I'll get it in the mail.
